1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)

Barred plymouth rock, coming up on 6 months. She is the fattest but I am worried she will start losing weight if ahe wont eat.

2) What is the behavior, exactly.

Two weeks ago, I noticed an outbreak of fowl pox in my flock. Everyone seemed to be dealing with it fine until 2 days ago, when my barred rock laid her first egg. She had (visually) worst outbreak of the pox, but until 2 days ago was acting normal, eating, drinking, and flying. Now she barely eats or drinks and sleeps all the time. One of her eyes appears to be partially swollen shut from pox.

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?

2 days, coinciding with her first egg.

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?

The other birds are still dealing with pox, but otherwise they are acting normally.

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.

Other than the pox scabs, no.

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.

I am wondering if maybe this is a secondary infection to the pox or if the trauma of laying her first eggs is knocking her out.

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.

Some blueberries, corn. A little bit of scratch and oats mixed with egg yolk. Eating less today than yesterday.

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.

I observed 3 poops yesterday, the first was a dark green, normal texture, with what looked like undigested grass. Second was a normal cecal poop. Third was watery/mucusy and dark, likely because the only thing I could tempt her with was blueberries. Her crop feels empty and I have not observed any poops today.

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?

Everyone has been getting free choice vitamin/electrolyte water since the pox started. Barred rock has been getting extra treat foods for these past two days to try to get her to eat. I’ve also tried 1cc of Liquamycin daily in case she’s developed a secondary bacterial infection in addition to the pox, but I’m not seeing much change.

Edit: everyone gets poultry antimicrobial spray on their pox.

She is currently in an infirmary kennel with food and water so I can watch her food intake and try to see any other poops.

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?

Trying to get a feel if vet is necessary.

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.

Typical fowl pox scabs. Have looked down her throat but do not see any lesions there.

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use

Straw in the coop, deep litter/wood chips in the run.

Can you please post some photos of her, the pox and her poop?

What do you normally feed? Will she not eat her normal feed?
Have you felt inside her vent for an egg?
Do you provide oyster shell free choice?
Do they have a source of grit?

I would continue to work on getting her hydrated. See if she will eat a bit of wet feed once she's drinking.
Check her crop to make sure it's empty in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink.

They get chick starter with free choice oyster shell and grit. She has not eaten her regular food since this started.

She has laid a normal egg every day. Her crop is empty.

I didnt manage to get any picture of the poop but here is the saddest girl:

No lesions inside the beak?

Could be she's just feeling bad due to the Fowl Pox. It's a virus and will have to run it's course.
I would still try to entice her to eat her normal feed.

No lesions inside the beak I can see when I looked with a flashlight. I’ve been trying different combos of treats and regular feed separately and together intermittently, it’s just so hard to see her uninterested in eating.

Post-vet update!

She has pox, an upper respiratory infection, and coccidiosis. Poor girl just can’t catch a break. Treatment is tylan, amprolium, and eyedrops. Here is a picture of her poop for reference:
