Our Wyandotte hen who we have noticed has lost her tail feathers recently (it is winter here in NZ) has started limping and will skip sideways when she walks. She is foraging okay but been off the feed we give our 3 Wyandotte hens for the last few weeks.
My husband checked her over and stretched out her legs and she seemed okay but when he felt her back she cried out in pain. We heard a big dust-up of a hen screaming the other morning and think she may have been injured by one of (or both) of our other hens we have. Any ideas? eg could it be dislocated hip and is it possible to relocate her hip in ourselves?
