One of my 6 month old EE/Polish crosses just started favoring her left leg about 5 days ago. I checked her all over and don't see any cuts or lumps or bumps or anything out of the ordinary. I figured she might have strained it or something, so I left it for a few days to see if it would get better. But... 5 days later it's no worse, but no better either. She spends most of her day nesting, but shes still eating and drinking and limping out into the run.

Is there something I'm missing here?! Could she have strained it jumping off of her roost or something? My flock have all been together since birth, and I've never seen them peck at each other so I don't think there was a fight or anything.

What can I do to help this poor girl, or is there something I should be looking for? Any help is much appreciated.

i dont know what it is but she may have strained it i would seperate her from the flock in a smaller pen and give her electrolites and bugs you can find this at a pet store. i hope this helps and goodluck.

You can see her kinda holding the leg in the back up... couldn't get a great picture...

I have got the same problem, its happened to my hen for almost a month . What i have started to do is gently massage the leg and hope it works.. I think the cause for my hen was as she would jump onto the tree and jump back off causing a injury
