I was at my dad’s workplace yesterday, and when I came back to the chicks, one of my pullets were limping and holding up her left leg most of the time. I examined her injured leg, and saw nothing. No bumblefoot, no dislocations, and no external injuries. I treated her for leg mites, and it’s the next day: She’s still limping. What do I do? I’m assuming she injured herself internally, maybe slipped off the perch, or was playing rough with the other chicks(they do tend to play rough). If she has a fracture, or a dislocated leg, or some kind of internal injury, what should I do? She’s not lethargic; she comes to eat and drink, and is overall still active.
Here’s a picture of how she stands if that helps:

If you have a hospital cage, I would put her there, where she would not have to jump up to roost and has easy access to food and water, let her rest until she is walking normally and re introduce her into the flock. I think she will be fine, I had this happen a couple of years ago and it ended up being no big deal. Good luck. :hugs
