I thought my 14 month old Blue Ameracauna hen was just molting, she has been losing feathers for about 4 weeks now and has been a little lethargic for that time but has been eating and drinking with my other girls. The last few days though, she has been sleeping more and more, she is separating herself from the other birds and she has been puffed up most of the time. No one else is displaying these symptoms, (but I have checked all of my girls really well a BUNCH of times due to them getting lice last year.) There are no visible bugs, crop feels fine, feces appears normal, no sneezing, no visible problems with her vent, ETC. She has lost considerable weight, even though she was eating and drinking until today.( She will eat and drink if I hold it up to her face, but falls asleep fairly quick) They are on a 20% all veg. protein duck feed, supplemented with oyster shell, they get scratch occasionally for treats(did give them some bird seed as a treat a while ago too), If anyone has any suggestions on what might be making her sick, or how to help her I would really appreciate it.

Although I don't know if it helps, here is a picture of her today in her temporary home in my bathroom.

Well unfortunately I don't think it's worms. She has gotten worse today and I don't think she will make it through the night.

I have to hold her up fer her to drink now.

Oh she looks just like my little Ameraucana...

When was the last time she laid? could she be eggbound?

Well, unfortunately, my little girl didn't make it through the night.

. My other 2 girls are doing fine(no symptoms) except Rose paces the run and keeps looking at me and chattering and little Red began to crow yesterday. I think they can't figure out why I haven't brought Patience back to them yet. Sorry, just needed to talk, hubby doesn't understand why I'm so upset.
