My hen has been losing weight. She is eating but I don't know think she is laying. She is not molting. We use apple cider vinegar as a wormer and none of the other hens exhibit any weight loss. What could be the cause? She seems really weak tonight so we have brought her indoors. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ACV is not an effective de-worming substance, it just isn't. If your bird has an internal parasite load that would not have been impacted significantly and weight loss would continue. IF she has parasites you need to use a proper deworming agent to free her of the load, but that is not necessarily the cause of her weight loss.

I agree that ACV is not a dewormer. How old is your hen? Since she is not laying and is losing weight, you might want to do some research on egg yolk peritonitis and internal laying. Those can cause a long list of symptoms including weight loss. Valbazen and SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer or Equine paste are both good wormers.
