I have a hen that has been making a awful noise for about an hour now at first I thought it was the egg song (none of my girls have late yet) but when she hadn't layed an egg it made me worry something may be wrong her feathers are very ruffled and she keeps walking around from place to place squawking. It is very hot here in oklahoma today could the heat have something to do with it? They have plenty of fresh water.

I would give it a little time. Sorry but I'm not exactly clear... has she already laid her first egg or is she POL? I think you're saying none have laid yet. Remember, that first egg is gonna be a complete surprise to the hen and she has no idea what's happening to her. Some get very vocal and run around doing the chicken little thing while others give no indication whatsoever and just spit the first egg out wherever they happen to be standing when the urge comes. It could be on the ground, under the roost, out in the middle of the run... It is hot too, and she may be a little stressed. Giving some cool water for them to stand in or misting with the hose could help. Maybe a fan if you can provide one and of course shade is critical

My phone isn't wanting to post a video they are in compete shade with cool water she has never played before I'm hoping that is,all her problem is

I am also in Oklahoma. My hens make a weird noise when it gets hot and they are panting. Sounds like some kind of honking noise. Like a noise you'd expect might come from a goose.
