(background) I bought a chicken and a duck from these horrible conditions at a flee market. I knew what I was getting into, and bought all these foods and seeds and oats and a very nice coop. The guy, although i shouldn't have believed him because i don't think he knew the answer, said the chicken was a girl. Well this is 5 weeks since I have had them, and the chicken is, just weird. I don't know what kind of breed she is but she is super little and since I have had her she's grown only a little. She's healthy though she free ranges and eats grass and bugs, gets plenty of water, healthy diet, ect. The duck is totally the opposite and is three times the size from when we originally got it. They are inseperatable and almost seems like they have their own language. I do plan on getting one more chicken since she is the only chicken. since she is the only chicken is this why she could be making this noise? (actual questions) Can a hen make rooster like noises? she does it every morning, but it seems like to get my attention. It sounds like a call of some sort.
if you watch the video, it sounds like that. Ill attach a picture. I am very scared she might be a rooster! Also can someone tell me what kind of chicken she is? Is she a mix?

(They are on our courtyard right now, Don't worry they have plenty of grass)
