Hi, I have 3 hens and last night I think we had an animal in the garden that managed to knock their big feeder off its tree stump through the chicken wire and it must have really spooked them as there were a lot of feathers around. But today, Doreen has been making a weird noise all day and kind of panting, not closing her mouth and has lost feathers on her breast, I can see and feel her skin and one side looks a lot larger than the other. I'm wondering has she hurt her lung or is she just still freaked out?! I'm new to this chicken malarkey. I have a video of the noise but can only see to upload pictures?! Thank you!!!
