Ginger is amazing for cough and infections of the throat for all I've personally use this home remedy in winter and coughing is not actually a issue unless u see special classic symptoms of CRD like runny nose eye bubbles
In my experience coughing and respiratory problems rise with Dust too chickens love preens and accidentally they ate their Dander that sticks in their throat resulting coughing warm water and ginger

my hen Daisy has been having a long term wheezing for a good few weeks now, ocaisional sneezing- could I try this remedy on her and would it work? I was told it was strador but since it hasn't cleared I wondered if it was something else.

I 'm kind of a newbie but I would think it would depend on what's going on with her. My girl (from this post), ended up having aspirative pneumonia....not sure how she got it. I ended up needing a round antibiotics for her and she is doing much better.

You might be dealing with IB or CRD. You can look up the differences on this site so that you can decide the best course of action. A new post might be helpful since there are so many amazing people here :)

I tried this on my rooster several time when he had cough but he didn't have respiratory infection because he lives indoor and this remedy works like magic on him

What I belive is that not usually it's cough it's the dirt that collected or stick in their throat by warm water and ginger juice it cleared up u can try if it won't resolve then must be something else

My rooster improves in just less then 10 mins of giving this
