Hen mating another hen?

Yeah I’m pretty sure it is. Almost 2 years old it should be more obvious is it’s a rooster right? I almost got excited that it may be a rare silent rooster. I was ready to fire up the incubator 🤣
If only! That would be nice.
I noticed in your other thread it looked like you had a little Dominique boy...he crowing yet?

They're definitely both girls.
May just be dominance, but it also just could be hen on hen love, lol. It's the animal kingdom.
They are both looking a little rough...do you have a rooster? Their backs are quite bare.
I don’t. They have been like that since we got them. We just upgraded their coop to give them more room and all but the smaller gray one is starting to grow back their feathers. They now have a 10x10 coop and a pretty decent size run to play in

Nice!
They'll probably be just fine then.

He hasn’t! I’m glad you asked about him. He seems pretty sweet too. Here he is today

It is a dominance thing. We have an easter egger who was jumping on one of our olive eggers. She started around the time we added new pullets to the flock. Once everyone figured out their new rank, she stopped.
