Hen missing feathers

Hi everyone! I purchased three hens from a farmer this morning and all three are missing feathers around their backside. He said it was from roosters and a lot of activity with them. They are missing pretty much their whole tales. Has anyone seen this before? We don’t keep roosters so we’re not familiar with this. They seem healthy otherwise.

Yes, roosters can over mate hens and cause them to have bald backs. Another thing to consider is to treat for mites. Also make sure they are on a good quality diet. Good luck with your new chickens!
