found one of my hens alone and hunched up. Symptoms include, hunched over, slightly congested breathing. I have yet to check her feces and feathers for parasites.

She also is closing her eyes shut every few seconds. But no signs of crust or swelling. She refuses to walk.

She is in an unused coop away from the others, and tonight I plan on putting her in the garage as it is somewhat chilly. Should I put a heating pad in the dog crate she is gonna sleep in? Any other suggestions?

I probably would not use the heating pad unless she gets sicker and seems chilled. Check her crop for fullness or being empty, and check her flesh on her breast for weight loss, or any fullness or swelling in her lower belly under her vent. How long since she has laid an egg? I would make sure that she is drinking water, and add some vitamins and electrolytes to it. Chopped egg, bits of tuna or meat added to her chicken feed may entice eating.

Thank you, I checked her crop, but it seems to be empty, also checked her breath for sourness, but I am not sure. I’ll go check her belly as well. not positive if she laid today but I don’t think did, I will check for sure tomorrow to know 100% if she is still laying.

Update: checked on her this morning and found a broken egg, and a fully formed egg (although it was rough looking). She is eating and drinking normal and is vocalizing. Feces look normal. When I came down she let out a massive poop.

My feeling was she was egg bound, and the electrolyte water gave her the boost she needed.

Still is slightly congested and limps (limp probably because I treated her for bumblefoot a while ago, and it is still there; treating it again later today or tomorrow) Should I go ahead and try some Vetrx for her congestion? it isn’t bad; breathing a little stopped up but not wheezing. No other symptoms for respiratory diseases.

She isn’t 100% but I imagine it was because of having to pass two eggs in a night.
Will continue to monitor her. Any further suggestions would be appreciated. :)
