hen mounting other hens

I too have an all female flock. Almost all of them l have bare spots near tails and I have seen one female mount another exactly as a rooster would do. There is also an attempt at cockadooodledoo too....

I agree, dominance.... especially if you don't have roosters around.

My RIR is also doing this. This is my first time ever having hens. Much less 6 of them. Please help me by telling me if there is anything that I can do to get her to stop doing that. I also have a hen that has a bare spot that had it when I got her and when the feathers are coming back it creeps me out to no end seeing the pins coming up in her back. I am just a wussy I guess. I just have to grow up and realize that is part of owning chickens I guess lol. How did you deal when you first saw the feathers growing back. That stinkin lesbihen mounted the bareback one first and then this morning as im sitting in the run she gets on top of another one. UGH.
