You had said her neck was wet in addition to the missing feathers, could something have tried to grab her and she got away? If there was some kind of incident that she narrowly escaped from she could have been a little shocky/stressed from that.

The neck did look like it had been slobered on or....something else. That was sunday though. Her feather were a little messy but on a few looked like they were missing. Today there were a ton missing from the back of her neck in a neat pile on the ground and there are no scratches or blood...they were plucked out.

They do go perch together at night in a coop but she has not raised any eggs lately...maybe molting. Not laying on the nest any

I think he is just over mating her....first time he has pulled her feathers out....they are both about a year old

You may need to get some more hens for the rooster. She will have no back feathers before long.
