One of my sweet little hens seems to be experiencing some fluid build-up causing swelling in her face and neck. Her little earlobes and wattles even seem to be affected. I'm relatively new at this. What in the world can be wrong w her?? Area w fluid also seems warm and hen is not very active right now. Just noticed it today.

I think there are several diseases that cause swollen wattles and such. Is there any discharge or smell? If so it could be coryza.
Here is a good place to research with much information on disease and symptoms and treatment. Frankly, it can be overwhelming. I never knew so much could affect chickens.

It sounds like a respiratory disease such as mycoplasma G, infectious bronchitis, and coryza. I agree with Mrs Bachbach that it could be coryza if the wattles are swollen. Fowl cholera or pasteurella may be another cause. An antiobiotic such as Di-Methox or sulfadimethoxine may treat coryza or fowl cholera. Is there any frostbite on her wattles? Here is a list of common diseases to read about them: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

Here is a link for Di-Methox: http://www.jefferspet.com/product.asp?pn=A2-DA&green=3A6DF43E-A6F8-5DB8-07AB-BAAC25ADE2A4
