I have two bantam pekins, one of them, Anntwynette, has 2 chicks and is happily taking care of them. She's not laid eggs since having the chicks hatch and I figure this to be normal as she's got two babs to look after.
Her sister, Diana, is in a seperate living space with my other hen, Eagleface (wyndotte) and I am a little bit worried about her as she's not laid an egg since the Third of August. That's 13 days to date and usually I've gotten one from her once every 2 days this year. She was hatched last year so she's still quite young. Not broody, her appitite is fine as is her urge to dig and stratch about. I've checked her over and physically she appears healthy.
Any ideas or thoughts would be helpful! Thanks x
