I have 3 Rhode Island Red and 3 Black Sex-Link hens. They are all the same age and have begun laying eggs. One of the RIR's comb and wattle has not matured like the rest. She is more skittish than the rest so I have not been able to really touch her. The others do the rooster squat (we have no rooster) when you touch their backs. I don't know if she does or not. I don't know who is laying and who isn't ... it's a secret. I don't know what to think about her (Rachel) as she seems fine otherwise ie: same size as the rest, eating, drinking, foraging, etc. Any ideas? And I have switched them to Layer feed now, but don't know if that is best for her. Also, they don't really seem to impressed by their oyster shells, I think they are bigger chunks than they like. Thanks for your help.
