I have a 3 yr old Barred Rock Hen who is acting a bit lethargic, her comb is a little pale and her crop was pretty empty when I checked tonight. She is ranging with the group and appears to be eating, drinking, and dust bathing. However, she is my top hen and usually a bit of a spit fire and she is just not her spunky self. She also is sleeping on the coop floor tonight rather then roosting. She has not laid an egg in 4 days, but I am in Michigan and its November. I do not feel anything that would lead me to believe that she is egg bound.
All the poop I can see looks normal. No signs of mites.

I will make her eggs laced with Nutridrench tomorrow morning. What else should I be doing or watching for.?
I know it does not sound like much when I write it out, but she is not herself and that worries me.

Is she molting? Physically check for mite or lice.
She just finished molting. I cant find any mites or lice.
I will isolate her so I can get a poop sample. She ate some cat food today.
I have 3 pullets about 4 months old and I think one is challenging her status. Could she just be stressed?
