Hen or Roo? (12 week old australorp)

Hi all, newbie here, trying to figure out if our black australorp named Sparrow is growing into a hen or a roo. Seeking educated guesses! Thanks in advance.

If that's the case, I'll be sad to see him go, he's a great bird. Can't keep roosters where we live, though, only hens. I hope I can find a good home for him! How disappointing that two out of our four "guaranteed" (ha ha) to be female birds grew into roosters... We'll have to find a few more pullets soon so our remaining girls will have more friends!

Thanks for the thought, Gunchief, Sparrow would make a handsome addition to any flock, in my opinion. Looks like we found someone local who'll take both our roos, hoping they're going to a good home! I'm trying not to ask too many questions, as our options are limited.

Good news! Both of our handsome roos were adopted by a nice local family with a ranch today. Sad to see them go, but I'm so very glad they went to a good home. We'll miss these two!
