These are my friend's chickens which her broody hatched.
She was asking me, but quite frankly, I have no idea…
I’ve got a suspect, but what do you think?

Age makes a difference! At 15 weeks I'd say pullet because I don't see any pointed male feathers. But at 12 weeks I'm fairly certain they're cockerels. The combs are too red for pullets at that age, and at 12 weeks male specific feathers are just starting to come in and may not be visible yet. They also have darker red across the shoulders which makes me think of the red patches easter egger cockerels often have.

Thank you!
I had been fairly certain that they were girls… until she said that they are only 12 weeks.
Poor thing. They have had bad luck with chicks.
I will tell her to just give her next broody a box of PULLETS!!!😅😅
