Hen or Roo guess?

Any idea on gender for these two 4 week old d'Uccles?


I'll still wait a few weeks to be sure, I just want to see what people think so far.

I would lean the first one being a cockerel and the second a pullet as of right now. But, it is early, you should be able to tell in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah, it's too early to be sure. 6 weeks is about the right age to start trying to tell the gender of chicks.

D’Uccle cockerels do tend to redden up pretty early, so I’m leaning towards both being pullets. But you should be able to tell for sure in a few weeks or so.

Both are pullets. Within the first week with D’Uccles the cockerels comb pops and by two weeks they are already getting pink. This guy is from one of my projects and is half d’uccle right around 3-4 weeks. All of my purebred D’Uccle were the same.

Thank you! I was definitely hoping they would be Pullets. I'll still wait a couple of weeks to be 100% sure, but this makes me very happy!
