Hi everyone.. I recently got a few additional hens .. But the plymoth rock I think may be a roo. It's such a shame cos she/he is my favourite. She (let's call her a her for good luck) is now 16 weeks and started to grow longer tail feathers. Not crowing .. And doesn't go submissive. I noticed sharper tail feathers rather than round ends.. And she doesn't seem to have grown her comb Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Pretty sure cockerel. The males have more white barring than the females. Plus the tail and looks like saddle feathers. I forget the technical name but could his comb have been cut off by the previous owner? How long you had him?

Pretty sure you can still call her a she. Not much comb and wattles for 16 weeks and I dont see any male saddle feathers. Give it a couple more weeks and you may see squatting and then eggs to follow.
