hen or roo?

I need help! Can someone tell me if this a hen or a roo and is there any way of telling age in a chicken? Thanks

Looks like a pullet to me. They don't have teeth so I'm not aware of a way of telling age within a few months or years as they get older.

Looks like a pullet to me. With most breeds cockerels develop bright red combs at an early age whereas pullets combs don't turn bright red until just before they are ready to lay. However crested breeds present their own particular sexing problems and as a result are much harder to sex at a young age. Male crested breeds typically develop a wild looking crest with long pointed feathers radiating outward whereas females typically have a smaller, tighter, and much more rounded crest (like yours).
