Cockerel is a young male chicken, usually under a year old.
Pullet is the same for female.
Hens and roosters or cock birds are mature females and males, respectively.

I really appreciate you explaining this because I am new to raiding chickens and ducks I am loving it though I wouldn't give it up for any other hobby

Can anybody help me out I have ducks and my stupid dog get loose and gets in pen killed six of my ducks some have scratches on the head what's good to try n doctor up on my ducks? Need to know like really fast..thanks
