Hen or roo?

Okay, I have been lurking here for a while and have gained ALOT!
I have this chick. It is 8 weeks old and have always thought it to be a roo, but have looked at some red stars and golden comets and it has me wondering now. Anyone know?

Looks like a roo to me. The comb is too red for a 8 week old hen I think.

That bird looks way too old to be 8 weeks old. Is it the same age as the Leghorn in that photo?

Yes, actually I got them together as babies 8 weeks ago yesterday. That's funny......I guess they do look older. That leghorn is already crowing! Started a few days ago.

what color was it when u got it? Cause I know when got golden comets in april for 4H and the red chicks were hens and yellow chicks were roosters. 4H does sex link chickens.

at 8 weeks.. that is a rooster.

One of the leghorns died. Two of them are roos, the barred rock is a roo......

mine must be a hen cause it will be 3 months old next week and the comb is alot differnt.

wow.. my leghorn babies are almost the size of your 3 month old one and they are only 6 weeks old.
