I was given this guy as a Roo only 10weeks old. He is bigger than all of my 16 week old pullets. Normal? They told me he was crowing already but I haven't heard him make any noise besides peeping. Also any guess what he will look like mature? If anyone had a chick that looked like this, post your grown up version!

Looks like some kind of easter egger cockerel. the feathered feet are quirky though! if he is an EE or ameraucana crossed with some sort of brahma that might explain both that and the size (proper heritage brahmas are almost like turkeys)... whatever he is you got something special!

He has a very quirky personality! I haven't named him yet. I'm still working on that!

Update: he is the only other chicken besides my 'special needs' pullet that lets my 2 year old daughter just walk right over and pick him up and hug him. I hope he stays nice My two brown leghorn girls on the other hand are turning out to be assholes..

This made me lol. . . My 6 year old was able to catch my two anytime when they were little, but as they have gotten bigger they have become more aware if her. They aren't laying yet, but I did read somewhere, not sure if it's true, that they will calm a little once laying. We will see. I have the feeling mine might not be laying until after winter at this rate! Good luck. The rooster is super handsome!
