Hen or Roo?

Hello! This is my first time owning chickens and I am having a hard time figuring out if my buff brahma and red frizzle are hens or roos. They are 6 months old and up until now had not shown roo traits. However we just put two younger silkies in the coop with them, one we are certain is a roo due to his early crowing, and since then these two have been crowing too. I read online in certain situations some hens may take on roo qualities so I'm not sure if that's what it is or if having the little roo around is causing the older possible roos to come out of their shell.

Also, in the buff, see the dark patches on the wing..... that is a male characteristic as well

Both are cockeraels. And if it helps, most roos start crowing at 3 or 4 months old. Of course there are early bloomers, and late bloomers too... That's just an average.
