So I have five, 6 week old Easter Eggers. They are all supposed to be hens, but one is probably a roo. I've never had any roosters, so I'm not totally sure. He has red patches on his wings, but he's had them since he was a few days old. Do roosters develop red patches later, or would they be present from the beginning (his other feathers are cream colored)? His comb is pretty red, but he only has the middle row developed in the pea comb, like my older hens (2 years old). No crowing yet, but he acts like a jerk to the other babies, so I'm really thinking rooster. I know hens will be jerks too when they're establishing the order, but this one is particularly sassy with the others. Any thoughts?
