Hen or Roo ?

My son brought these home around May 10th, they were born May 1st. We were told they were both hens, but, the larger red one began crowing about 2 weeks ago.

I believe you have one of each, but would need a better picture of the speckled ones hind quarters. The dark red is a cockerel for sure.

Very true, but the birds look older than 13 weeks of age and coloring is female specific on the Hamburg.

As for age, I would agree as both appear older I was just going of the OP's stated age. And yeah, it 100% does look like a hamburg Pullet doesn't it
