basing it on the comb, and way he holds himself up, couldn't see the tail feathers that good, roosters stand more upright while a hen will occasionally they are more forward looking for the bugs while rooster watches over them and ready to catch it too

At this point, its that comb. I don't know much about the games to judge by feathering.
