I'm totally new to chickens and I just got 6 roughly 5 month birds from a friend. They are all mixed breed and I have read every article under the sun and I can't figure it out (the ppl we got them from had no idea). The 1 below I'm leaning boy, but I don't know! I'm pretty sure based on the info I have it is a Barred Rock/Orpinton MIx

Ou this is a hard one. Has female characteristics but looks like a Roo. A way to check is if it has spurs its a Roo or if it's very dominate it is a Roo.

Hens can also be the top of the pecking order, and some hens can also get spurs ;D also when they're young nearly all chickens will have spur buds, but checking for spurs can help on adult roosters, but usually once they're adults you can tell by other ways such as crowing, saddles and hackles, and sometimes coloration : )

At this age it does look like it's probably a pullet, the long tail feathers look just like EE pullets can get but the entire feathering on the bird look like a pullet. Plus the dull coloration and faded barring make me think pullet! Especially being so old I'd expect more rooster characteristics like the saddle and hackle feathers :D comb doesn't look too crazy red, just mature, However can you take some photos up close of the tail, especially from the top? (Like top down looking down onto the back of the bird if that makes sense :D)

I will try to get more pics! Everything you are saying makes sense, which is why I've been so confused haha. At this point this guy is probably one of the chillest in the group of 6 we just relocated which makes me think cockerel since he isn't trying to establish himself.

Cockerels tend to be one the nicest ones until they fully mature ;D so uh oh!

I'm just going to throw the rest up and see what y'all think! The white leghorn mix is by far the most aggressive of the group, just generally ornery all around, everyone else is pretty chill at this point. I feel like because they are all mixes it is making it harder for me to tell!
