Hen or roo?

Any guess on if this is a hen or a rooster? I think this one is about 9 to 10 weeks old. The lady I got it from a couple weeks ago thought it was a hen but I am starting to wonder. Because it was a couple weeks ago I know it could be hard to tell which it was when I got it. She told me it was a Maran.

Hmmm, it theoretically could be a Birchen Marans, but they're kinda uncommon. Was the breeder reputable? It's also definitely a cockerel

Agree on cockerel. With that skin color, I'd Agree on breed too. Though I question it being a purebred anything.
