Oh good! I'm worried about having one roo because I have such a mixed flock. I've read of people with mixed flocks doing fine but I have also read that if u have bantams, you shouldn't have a regular roo. Any opinions on an EE roo with bantam cochins, polish and silkies?Pullet!

I've had roosters and mixed flocks for years and haven't had a problem with it. You should be fine keeping them together, and if problems do happen to arise, you can always rehome him.Oh good! Thank you! A rooster is a 1st for me. I've had hens, never a rooI've had roosters and mixed flocks for years and haven't had a problem with it. You should be fine keeping them together, and if problems do happen to arise, you can always rehome him.
