Hen or roo

Too young to tell in that last picture but the 2 previous pictures have female specific coloring. See how the color flows evenly throughout the body? A male would be more flashy and splotchy with coloring.
These 2 are same age as the original chick I posted. Their coloring is completely different but brown more(?) prominent. The last one was shaking when I took the pic, so if I need to get a better one to tell I can!

I think you'll have to wait a little longer for these. They need to be fully feathered. Sometimes that male specific coloring doesn't come out until a little later.

Yep! If you see a rust color randomly pop on the shoulders area, that is male specific for EEs. Or Americanas (spelled with an i is an EE).
My babies have grown and was hoping you could give me some insight on what I’m working with. A couple of them are confusing me with their feathers vs coloring.

Is the first and 2nd pic two different birds?

If so, Pullet, cockerel, cockerel.

The 3rd one is an obvious boy. The 2nd one is sneakier but the color pattern is too uneven and flashy and the comb is pretty wide so I think boy too. The first one's color kind of flows better and the comb looks very pale but it's hiding between others and facing away so hard to tell.

Yes, 2 different chickens. The one in between others doesn’t have tail feathers yet and its comb is still pretty pale. It’s the weirdest thing! I had a feeling about that third one because of his tail feathers, just needed confirmation. he’s so beautiful but unfortunately not going to be able to stay since 3 out of the 5 seem to be Roos.

This is the roo my boyfriend has said is staying. He even takes him for rides on the lawnmower 😂
