We got these ladies from a woman that has a 100% guarantee that her pullets are pullets so if one turns into a roo, we get to exchange it. Sooo, I was looking at them today and I suddenly am wondering about the NH red. I'm 100% sure on the other wyandottes.

These chicks are about 8 weeks old.

What do you think? It carries it's tail more 'up' than the other two, that's why I'm suspicious.

I am going with boy. The last picture shows a pretty angular head, and the dreaded stink eye.

lol, that is when a chicken gives you a dirty look. like this one:

I have a Red Pullet who looks very similar... fluffy tail and all. One, infact, whose tail is "fluffier" than the rest, not just higher.... but I think both mine and yours are infact, pullets.

now that is hilarious!!!! I'm pretty new to this so I didn't know if it was something about lining around the eyes or what!! As for the gender of the bird, I would have to guess roo, just since there is so much more comb development than the other 2, but that could be just a breed trait. my wyandotte girls have nearly no comb at all at 8 weeks.
