Hen or Rooster- HELP!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You definitely have one hen and three roosters. I'm curious who told you that your chickens are "Black Stars." "Black Star" is one of many labels used by some hatcheries for marketing their Black Sex Links, which are produced by crossing a red gene rooster (usually an RIR) with a barred gene hen (usually a BR). The female BSLs are black with some reddish or copper colored feathers around the neck area and the male BSLs are barred, but your male "Black Stars" are clearly not barred and are therefore not BSLs. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in re-homing your roosters.

Correction, I should have actually typed "some" labels. Red Sex Links are marketed under "many" labels. In addition to Black Sex Links and Black Stars, BSLs are also sometimes marketed by hatcheries as Bovans Nera, but again, your birds are not BSLs.
