Hen or Rooster/maybe blind

Hi everyone, First time chicken owner..
Can anyone tell me if this is a hen or rooster? My friend hatched from egg, pecks at the air, turns in circles, just started scratching but doesn’t get anything. Have to show water and food... Also, should I put him up at night? I pick him up Wednesday, making sure his home is 100% predator safe. Any help is much appreciated!! Thanks

if he has trouble seeing I wouldn't put him hard to get down/out of places. For blind chicken tips I did start a blind chicken forum if you would like to talk more specifically there.

Looks like a roo to me if he is in deed blind yes put him up at night and I would put beeper on food and water dishes have them on during the day and off at night i used to have a blind rooster and he just hung out and his beeper also made it easier for him to find his coop

He will be the beepers are the best and they will keep him close
