Please help me identify the genders of these chickens so i know if they need to go to the freezer camp or will be kept for eggs. I once had a chicken which i had difficulty determining his gender until he crowed @ 18 weeks. Lol
The chickens below are now 16 weeks old.
This is Dale, a mixed breed. I assume his a roo
.. Or maybe not. Will he lay an egg? or crow night and day? To help you understand, i will put some descriptions:
1. His very silent but if i pick him up, he sqwaks and i noticed that he has a "tiny voice" compared to my other cockerels.
2. Another thing is his feather looks round except those in his neck.
3. My cockerel dances around him sometimes
4. He is growing a small sharp spurs but not as round and big as the other cockerel
5. He has small feet
6. No comb but big red wattles
This is Mocha, a rir. I think she is a pullet...
1. Her comb and wattles are bigger and more red compared to other pullets
2. No hackles. Rounded feathers.
3. Lowest in the pecking order
This is pretzel, another mixed.
1. Curved tail feathers
2. Fights with other cockerels
3. Small comb and wattles
This BO is Pyro. I think he is a boy.
1. He has bigger comb and wattlea compared to to my BO pullets
