This is Rug, named by my son. It's not real vocal yet. It's the same age, about 11 weeks old, as two others we bought. The tail feathers and neck feathers are quite a bit bigger than the other americauna. It walks a little bit taller, but the comb base appears similar. Also I can't tell if the saddle and neck feathers are pointed. Just curious is anyone wants to weigh in on Rug?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Right now I would say a roo, just going on the tail. A close up pic would be great to get a better view of your bird. I'm sure more greeters will be along who will be able to help you better. I see you have also posted in the what breed gender section too. There are lots of very knowledgable members there who I'm sure will be able to help you.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Most feed stores order their chicks from hatcheries. Most hatcheries label their Easter Eggers (generic, crossbred, blue/green egg layers), Ameraucana. They usually resemble pure Ameraucana in that, they usually have muffs, beards, and pea combs. That is usually where the similarities end though.
