Hen or rooster???

ETA: the biggest change in the cocks combs was between 4-6 weeks. In the 4 weeks since, they've maybe gotten a tad bigger and darkened maybe a touch. Maybe I'm just lucky and got a batch that distinguished themselves early? Oh, and for what it's worth, my cockerels have no tails to speak of either.

I found a picture of them around 4 weeks old together with their combs showing!

Grainy though it may be, the golden one on the right is the golden pullet and the silvery one to her left is the silver/brown cockerel. The golden pullet has even always appeared a bit older, feathered out sooner than the cockerels, etc., but has always had a significantly smaller comb.

Ok cool thank you so much for your help!! I've been worried about this one for a few weeks. I got 2 chicks and 1 passed away so I'm hoping to God's it's not a cockerel! Because then I would have to get rid of it

I hope you don't mind me hacking your thread, but I'm desperate to get some opinions on two of my 9-10 week old chickens. I posted on a few threads but haven't gotten any input

. Both of these gals (guys?) have been squawking something fierce! I heard it a couple of times and kind of blew it off. Well this morning at 5:00 they were SO loud! It sounds like a crow in the making. It isn't the typical "cockadoodle do" but it resembles it. I didn't think my brown one looked like a roo but she sure is loud! Meet my brown girl, Bobbie and my other Oreo. They are the friendliest of a bunch but I live in a semi residential neighborhood and my neighbors won't appreciate all this ruckus in the mornings. Thanks in advance!!

Thanks! So sad, they are two of my friendliest chickens! Any idea on the breed of the black one? I was told Welsummer, but I'm not so sure.

Thank you!!!

I'm sorry I know little to nothing about any breed other than my EE's. But I DO have an "Olive Egger" (Maran/Ameraucana) pullet if you want to compare.
Here she is:

No idea, you'll have to wait and see what color egg she lays. If it's dark green then she's an Olive Egger. If it's a lighter green or blue, then you can call her an Easter Egger. If she lays a brown egg, then she's just a mixed breed.
