Hen or Rooster??

In late march my family and I purchased 2 unsexed chicken from our local farm store. One "black sex link" one "Rhode Island red" we were hoping to get a Roo but everyone is saying we got hens... from the beginning the sex link had a much larger comb than any of the others we purchased (we purchased 4 pulleys too) I'm not sure and I'm still new at this . Any help is appreciated!!

Both birds pictured are cockerels. Both show male feathering, and a pullet black sexlink would be black with bronze fleckings. Cockerels are barred.

So two Roosters? They do not crow or try to mount my hens... they do spar with each other often and are inseparable....

Both are cockerels, you will also know with the black sex link because as a baby chick the male will have a white spot on his head and the female won't.
You have two handsome roosters!

Are your sex link hens black with reddish flecking. Trust me those boys will be crowing and attempting to breed the pullets shortly. Most likely, the two of them will be too much for your 4 pullets.

Next time if you want a rooster go on Craigslist. ... hundreds of unsexed boys end up there... are you looking to start a flock of your own? 1 roo 1 hen? As for sexing the birds..... not my specialty but more then 1 pic each would help the gurus. ...

I agree that they are 2 roosters. They are just 4 months old and may not be crowing yet, But they will soon.
Right now they are sparing with each other to establish dominance. If you only have 4 females you will have to decide which rooster to keep. 2 roosters is too many for just 4 hens.

I have 5 pullets now and they are isa Browns...? (Purchased march of 2016) What the farm store told us anyways. The pullets purchased with the Males went to a different home.
