That makes 2 of usThe first one is in that confusing stage for me. Those hackles say cockerel, yet the saddle feathers are rounded-even tho they seem to be growing out a bit for a pullet. And the face says pullet to me.![]()
I have heard both pullet and cockerel. I hope they are both pullets since I already have a rooster but I guess time will tell. Thanks so much.They both look like pullets, as some members have said, cockerels would have stringier saddle feathers.

Yeah then the first one is a cockerel. In my experience saddle feathers take a lot longer to show up than sickle feathers do. To me it is pretty obvious that the sickle feathers are present and being as red as it is in the comb and wattles is even more of a reason. Pullets don't get that red until they're about to lay, and at 14 weeks that would be way to early. He should be pretty though!Yes, they are both the same age about 14 weeks
