Hen or rooster?

Hi everyone, I’ve been posting a lot of threads asking if my two polish chicks are rosters or hens, and have always been told ‘it’s too early’

Now they are about 5-6 weeks old and I’ve been noticing on one that it’s comb area is becoming really red, same with the other one as well.

Does anyone know what their genders are?

They look like pullets to me. When sexing polish, you want to show a good picture of the crest.
They won't be hens or roosters/cocks till they are a year old. Till then, chickens are either pullets or cockerels.

The crest is the puff on their heads. A Pullet will have a nice round puff a cockerel will have a more got out of bed on the wrong side look

I forgot to mention that when they hit their awkward stage, they will both look like they stuck their toe in a socket. Lol

The crest is the tuft of feathers on top of the head. The comb is the red skin appendage on top of the head.
A polish pullet will have a neat rounded hairdo. A cockerel will have a mess looking like someone with a bad hair day.

Ok, thank you guys! I think now the one I thought was a boy is now a girl and the one I thought is a girl might be a boy... or we’ll just have to find out later! Lol

At this point in the game, both appear to be pullets, but that may change as they mature.
