Only the other day our next door neighbour gave us some hens for free.
On is small and black and has golden feathers running up her neck. And she layed an egg so she is obviously a hen.
But we also got a brown hen who various shades of 'her'.
The thing is she has spurs well one, on one leg there is a fairly long, Sharp spur on the other a bump.
I personally think it has rooster features but were not sure, I don't think shes acting like a rooster as my other 9 hens are beating her up if they can catch.
Is it just a feature of this bird, or is it a rooster?
It hasn't laid an egg as of yet unlike our other new one
Any suggestions on what breed this bird is would be greatly appreciated!
