my rhode island reds are 6 weeks old how can i tell which is a hen or rooster ? thanks

I'm not familiar with RIRs but in a lot of breeds the roosters comb will be much larger then the pullets by that time.
You might post some pictures on the what breed or sex am I forum.

Yes, this breed has large combs for the gals too, but the roo, the wattles are bigger right off...and, the roo will start turning more pink real quick.

I have RIRs. The legs will be stockier and their combs and wattles will start developing well before the pullets do and the feathers on their back will be more pointed as the pullets will be more rounded.
