hen or rooster?

hi,
one of my chickens had been acting different from other hens and I've been wondering if it could be a rooster. Ive never taken care of chickens before (i have 2 currently) so i have no idea what to look for to see if it is a hen or rooster. What are some things I should look for to see what gender it is?

The best way to know whether you have a rooster is to post a photo of one on here. Many members would be glad to help determine gender of a bird.

But, in general, males:

• Develop larger, redder combs faster than the females
• In the case of pea-combed birds, they have wider combs.
• Develop patchy coloring on the wings and body
• Feather in slower
• Have a taller stance
• Have slightly thicker legs
