hen or rooster??

I have 4 chicks that are 2 rhode island reds and americaunas.They are about 1 month old. I have had a couple of people tell me that one of my reds is a rooster b/c his/her comb has come in and is turning red. I have attached a picture of my 4 birds. Thoughts?? I am a little worried b/c my city does not allow roos.

I don't know if this would work for your city, but you could ask. There's a collar on the market for roosters that basically like a bark collar for dogs except it doesn't shock or hurt them in ANY WAY. It just minimizes the volume and frequency of the crows. It's on the market for around $20 and I think BYC sells it. When I get a roo for breeding next year, I'm definatley purchasing one to keep my neighbors happy!

Roo, but my city dosent allow me to have roos because of the noise ordinance but I also didn't wanna get rid of him because roosters benefit the flock in my opinion, I also was not about to spend $20 on a no crow collar so i got my sons tube sock(infant or toddler size depending on the size of the roo) and cut off the foot part. Slip it down the neck but under the hackle feathers and it doesn't hurt them or anything it just do sent allow them to expand their vocals. Their a lot quieter and can still do everything he did before just not as loud, more like a muffled crow.

The bird on the far right is a Production Red cockerel. The red bird second to the far right is a Production Red pullet. The two Ameraucanas are actually Easter Eggers as opposed to true Ameraucanas and the smaller one (third from the right is a pullet). I'm not certain about the gender of the EE on the far left. I would need to see a closeup of the comb from head on to tell for sure.
