If that bird is 5 weeks old, it's a cockerel. If it's five months old, it's a hen.

Unless that pic is a good illusion somehow, I don't think there's any way that that bird is only 5 weeks old. It's head appears to be as large as his fist and much larger than the chain link mesh openings behind him. )

You posted while I was posting my response. Your pic really is a good illusion then. At 5 weeks, it's definitely a cockerel. Sorry, I was hoping it was 5 months old. (
