I have a flock of six hens and one of my golden comets has been pecking on the back of my EE. They're a little more than five months old. (incidentally, I just got my first egg from the flock and it was from the EE) The golden has been pecking at her back the whole time. It got so bad by the time they came out of the brooder, she had a giant bald spot on her back. I bought a saddle and she wore it for a month until her feathers grew back. She was pretty happy to get it off but now, a few weeks later, the golden has been back at it and the EE's getting another bald spot. I really don't have the room to separate them, is there any other way to get the golden to stop? -Thanks

I've never heard of peck spray, but I'll ask at the feed store, thanks. I'm not wild about putting the saddle back on but I will until I can find out about the spray.
